Kofi Job Foundation Saves 2-Year-Old Girl from Blindness

In a life-saving gesture, the Kofi Job Foundation has donated GH₵60,000 to fund critical surgery for 2-year-old Halaila Suleiman, who was at risk of going blind due to a severe eye cancer known as Retinoblastoma.

The young girl’s condition required urgent surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, but her family lacked the financial means to pay for the procedure.

Moved by her dire situation, Dr. Alimatu, a Paediatric Oncologist at the Kumasi South Hospital, reached out to the Kofi Job Foundation for help.

Led by renowned road contractor Mr. Kofi Job and his wife, Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi, the foundation responded swiftly with the full amount needed to ensure the surgery could proceed.

Thanks to the timely intervention, Halaila has undergone successful surgery, sparing her from blindness—and possibly saving her life.

An emotional Dr. Alimatu expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the foundation, describing the donation as a miracle for the young girl and her family.

Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi, co-founder of the foundation, praised her husband for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian work. She affirmed the foundation’s continued mission to transform lives, especially among vulnerable populations in Ghana.

This act of kindness adds to the growing impact of the Kofi Job Foundation, which has supported numerous causes in healthcare, education, and social welfare across the country.
